My guppies started dying!!?
I have two fish tanks in my home,
25 gallon which has a dozen female guppies and 1 octo algae eater.
40 gallon with 6 male guppies, 10 mollies, 2 golden dojo loaches, 8 tetras, and 2 octo algae eaters.
Few days ago we decided to redo our 25 gallon so we put all the guppies and octo in the 40 gallon. We added the 13 fish through two days [6 one day, 7 the other]. They have all been fine in the 40 gallon and the 25 gallon is now cycling and will be ready in days.
Then yesterday, I found two dead male guppies [one was floating on the top, and the other was stuck to the filter]. Then today when I woke up, there were two more male guppies died [one on the filer and the other was floating around].
I've had my 40 gallon set up for months now and have never lost a fish. I can understand if the females were to die due to tank changes, but its my males that are dying! I don't want to lose anymore fish, all the females are going back into their tank when its done cycling. Did I do anything wrong? Is there anything I can do? Thanks.
